Mr. Moore is a product of Bessemer City Schools, graduating class of 2004. He studied Business Management/Accounting at Miles College. Moore also holds a Master of Computer Science Degree from Alabama State University, and an Instructional Leadership Degree from The University of West Alabama. He has taught in the classroom for 5 years in Business Technology and Computer Science. He has been an Assistant Principal for 3 years.

Sarah Person, AP
Mrs. Person has been an Assistant Principal at Bessemer City Middle since 2021. Mrs. Person joined the Bessemer City School District in 2000 as a first grade classroom teacher at Charles F. Hard Elementary. During her time here at our District, she has also served as a Reading Facilitator, Homebound Teacher K-12 and Bessemer City High School Cheer Coach.
Mrs. Person holds an Ed.S.in Teacher Leadership from the University of Montevallo - and a second Ed. S. in elementary education from the University of West Alabama, MA in elementary education from the University of West Alabama. She earned her BS in elementary education from Miles College.

I am ecstatic to be a part of the Bessemer City Middle community. I look forward to collaborating with the staff, teachers, families and the community to ensure that all students reach their maximum potential.
At Bessemer City Middle, a primary goal is to establish a strong culture of learning by creating a school environment that is welcoming, safe, engaging and nurturing to all students.
