A two-time Pro Bowl linebacker and AP All-Pro selection, DeMeco Ryans was acquired by the Eagles on 3/20/12 in a trade with the Houston Texans. Originally a second-round draft choice (33rd overall) of the Texans in 2006, Ryans was immediately thrust into the starting lineup and garnered AP Defensive Rookie of the Year accolades. A team captain with Houston, Ryans comes to the Eagles as the Texans' all-time leader with 637 tackles. A leader on and off the field, Ryans is well known for his work in the community and established the DeMeco Ryans foundation in 2007.
